Tutorial : It is simple and easy to make, you will find many versions of it online. Below pattern version [ Source blog Link ] was exactly what I was looking for.
I made the paper pattern as per the measurements given in the above picture. Added half inch seam allowance, placed it on the chosen fabric and cut four pieces.
Once you have four pieces (below pics), place them right sides together and stitch along the yellow lines.
Hem all the raw edges. Above pic is inside out to show the hemmed areas.
And done, enjoy the warmth and coziness of the coat.
